Vampire Hunter D

If there's ever been a character in a story as close to being a god without actually being one - it's D, second only to his father, Vlad Dracula.

This gorgeous hunter deserves so much recognition for nearly thirty years of being one of the most beloved characters in both Anime and Novel.

This piece was completely done from zero to this on the computer, and is my first computer work in well over 4 years I'd say. I am a bit rusty, but I hope the outcome is pleasing enough to everyone, so, enjoy!

Oh my goodness!! I'm actually flustered and you have my sincere gratitude!

I'm very happy that you appreciate the detail that I put into it like the Violet and the neon-like glow on the armor and hair. I did it by using a very rough, bold over-outline on top of it, so it gave something stark and reactionary to fiddle with visually, rather than just the contrasts and shadows. I wanted to make it a bit more layered looking (but I don't use layers to draw. Seems too unecessary to me)

Still. thank you so much! I'm REALLY happy that I could make someone's day with it.

You've done a great job of capturing him just as he's described in the book. :3 This makes me want to go pop in Bloodlust. x3 I heard, now this is just a rumor, that they may be making a third movie based on The Mysterious Journey to the North Sea. << I hope it's true!
