Artist's Comments

Aah, if only I knew someone as beautiful and gentle as this. Tee-hee! I love geisha outfits, simply because of how sensitive and beautiful they are.

Done with prismas, pencils, other markers, on medium weight acid free paper

Thanks for comments and favourites in advance!

This is very beautiful. I love the way the colors blend and fade. I especially like the transparent nature of the umbrella. Beautiful job!

Well... I'm glad that you love Geisha outfits, but this is nowhere near what a Geisha's kimono is like.
No Geisha would ever even think of wearing anything with a plunging neckline.

That's my problem with this. Huge breasts and a plunging neckline. I wouldn't have too much of a problem if your description hadn't said that you love geisha outfits.

Thanks for the criticism. I simply like variating it. Perhaps going directly by the book would be fun, but I like to plunge into the one thing they wouldn't dare to do - show skin. :) And besides, they were the most desired women in the history of Japan! :P Only natural I'd want to sneak a peak.

Haha. Yeah, I get it.
It just kind of goes against the mystery and grace that Geisha are supposed to embody.
:iconmarto:
Heheh. ^^ I'm glad you brought up what you mentioned before though, because I quite frankly love that about them too. :( Too bad so many people used to think they were prostitutes. That's one of the biggest no-nos possible! Go look at the newest deviation. It's similar to this one, but my comment is better explanatory of what I mean. :)

Gladly appreciate the comment. The idea was to create a translusency that would become more solid as it drew nearer to the umbrella. The fading was to create the softness. :) I'm glad you spotted it.
